Pagewing Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Privacy summary

Pagewing is a local-first Markdown reader and editor for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It requires no account, contains no advertising or analytics, and does not upload your documents to a Pagewing service.

Documents and local app data

Pagewing reads a document only after you choose it through the system file interface and writes changes or exports only when you request them. Documents remain ordinary files under your control. The app may store local preferences, recent-item information, appearance settings, session state, and recovery data needed to operate.

Network requests

The iPhone and iPad app has no account service or bundled cloud workspace. A network request can occur when a document refers to a remote image or other remote resource, or when you explicitly open an external link such as Help or Privacy. On Mac, a request can also occur when you explicitly check for updates or render content that depends on a configured remote service. The destination server receives the requested URL and ordinary network information such as your IP address.

Collection, tracking, and sharing

Pagewing does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, contacts, location, document contents, or other personal data for the developer. It contains no third-party advertising SDK and does not track you across apps or websites. Files you place in iCloud Drive or another file provider are handled by that provider under your settings and its terms.

Removing data

You can delete documents using Files, Finder, or the storage provider that holds them. Uninstalling Pagewing removes data in its app container; documents and exports saved elsewhere remain under your control.

Children's privacy

Pagewing does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

Policy updates

This policy may change as Pagewing changes. The date above shows the latest revision.
