Contact support

Pagewing is developed and copyrighted by huagx. Email huag9998@gmail.com or report a reproducible problem through Pagewing Issues. Include the Pagewing version, macOS version, a minimal sample document, and exact reproduction steps.

Getting started

  1. Use File → Open File… for a Markdown or plain-text document, or File → Open Folder… to browse a folder.
  2. Edit directly in Live Preview. Pagewing supports CommonMark, GFM, tables, task lists, math, Mermaid, PlantUML, images, and inline HTML.
  3. Autosave is enabled by default. Use File → Export for HTML or PDF, or use the macOS print workflow.

Frequently asked questions

Does Pagewing require an account or cloud workspace?

No. Documents remain ordinary files and folders on your Mac.

Which file formats are supported?

Primary formats include .md, .markdown, .mdown, .mkd, .mkdown, .rmd, .txt, and .text.

What happens when another app changes the open file?

Pagewing asks whether to reload the version on disk or keep the editor version and continue.

Can Pagewing recover work after an unexpected exit?

Pagewing checks its local recovery buffer and offers recoverable content when available.

Do PlantUML and remote images use the network?

Yes. Remote images load from their source servers, and PlantUML uses the server configured in Settings. Use a server you trust for confidential diagrams.
