Frequently asked questions
Does Pagewing require an account?
No. Pagewing has no account or bundled cloud workspace. Your documents stay as ordinary files.
Where are documents saved?
You choose the location through Apple's Files interface. A file provider such as iCloud Drive may sync a document according to your own system settings.
Why is split preview unavailable?
Split preview needs iPad, landscape orientation, or another sufficiently wide window. Reading mode remains available on narrower iPhone screens.
Which export formats are available?
The iPhone and iPad version can export Markdown, HTML, and PDF through the system share interface.
Mac version
On Mac, use File → Open File… or Open Folder… to work with local Markdown and text documents. Pagewing supports live preview, autosave, recovery, and HTML or PDF export.
System requirements
iPhone and iPad require iOS or iPadOS 14 or later. See the App Store product page for the current Mac requirement.
Privacy
No account is required, and Pagewing does not upload documents to a Pagewing service. See the Pagewing Privacy Policy.
