Quick start

Choose Unlock PDF or Protect PDF.
Add one or more PDFs with the system file picker.
For unlocking, enter the password you already know. For protection, enter and confirm a new password.
After processing, save each new copy using the system share sheet or file picker.

One-time Pro purchase

PDF unlocking and protection require a one-time Pro purchase; this is not a subscription. Your Apple ID is charged by Apple. If you purchased before, tap Restore Purchases on the Pro screen to restore on supported devices using the same Apple ID.

Frequently asked questions

Can the app recover an unknown password?

The iPhone app does not crack or guess unknown passwords. Supply the correct document password. If a PDF has permission restrictions only, the app exports an unrestricted copy when supported by the system framework.

Will the original PDF be overwritten?

No. The app exports a new copy and leaves the original file unchanged.

Are files or passwords uploaded?

No. PDFs and passwords are processed only on your device.

Why can't a PDF be opened?

Confirm that the file is fully downloaded and not damaged, and that the password is correct. PDFs using encryption or signing policies unsupported by the system framework may not be processable.

System requirements
