Quick start

  1. Launch Runspur and click the orbital icon in the menu bar.
  2. Choose “Protect a Long Task,” then enter the task type, optional name, and expected duration.
  3. Start now or schedule a future protection window. You may require external power.
  4. For an immediate task, optionally select a running app. Runspur ends protection and records the reason when that app quits.
  5. Review the local task history for start time and the actual ending reason.

Frequently asked questions

Does a schedule wake a sleeping computer?

No. It starts while the device is awake during the planned window. If the device wakes later within a finite window, only the remaining time is protected.

How does “stop when a linked app quits” work?

After you select a running app, Runspur observes its termination locally. Protection ends when the final matching app instance quits. Linked-app details are never uploaded.

Does Runspur block intentional screen locking?

No. Runspur respects intentional screen locking and display sleep.

How does low-battery protection work?

When unplugged below 20%, Runspur stops the active sleep-prevention session.
